Road trip anyone? thehungrydudes: Probably the most publicized restaurant in Detroit is Slows BBQ.  Coverage in the New York Times, segments on the Travel Channel, and mentioned in numerous other media outlets have made Slows Detroit’s go to destination for anyone visiting the city. Sure, the location is cool and the beer list is fantastic, but people travel to Corktown for the food.  Check out The Longhorn (by TheHungryDudes).  Tender beef brisket, shredded smoked gouda, onion marmalade, and spicy sauce are stacked on Texas toast. It’s easy to get lost in this sandwich.  Each of the flavors intermingle perfectly giving a different taste sensation with each bite.  At one moment, smokiness shines through followed by a spicy kick from the sauce then the delicate sweet earthiness of the marmalade.   The Longhorn is a special sandwich.
